And the girls had a great time. We ended up with nine girls plus Katy. Nadia got sick and couldn’t make it at the last minute but thanks to modern technology, they were able to Face Time with her.
Katy wanted to be all fancy and use the punch bowl. She decided on pigs in blankets, pizza rolls, mini corndogs and fruit kabobs. She wanted shertbert punch but I wasn’t real wild on the idea of a lot of red punch in the living room so I found a recipe for a white punch. It was a hit and one girl asked for the recipe.
With mustaches being the in thing right now we had no problem finding all the decorations and paper goods.
After lunch the girls played Name that ‘Stache and pin the mustache on the guy.
The mustache guy before and after
We had prizes for the winners. It was close on the mustache guy but the girls all agreed that Miranda was closest. The mustache ID game was a little trickier. No one got them all or missed just one or two. There were three entries with three (out of 10) wrong and Catherine and Amie had filled out a paper together. We put the three tied entries in a bag and drew to see who won the prize. It was a Catherine and Amie and luckily the prize was something they could divide up. (Four wall decorations.)
Bring on the cake! I just bought the cake from Kroger but they did a pretty nice job.
And it wouldn’t be a mustache bash if no one had a mustache!
It was a really nice party. The girls didn’t eat nearly enough and with Thursday’s leftover cake we have enough leftovers to have another party!
