It took a while but we finally got Kallie buried. We had her body cremated (along with her blanket) and the ashes were returned in a little tin can. I had seen some kits to make concrete bone stepping stones at the craft store. I wanted to bury Kallie out by the bird feeders and have a little marker.
Heath took the can and put it in a plastic container and sealed the lid with caulk so it should be safe from dirt, water and whatever creatures might be under there. Katy and I made the marker. Heath bought some bricks and staked out a place. Then everything sat around for awhile because it rained and we got busy. The week of Thanksgiving Heath dug a hole and buried her and we had a little ceremony.
Aww, you made me cry!
