Katy is 12 today. One more year and all heck will break lose!
For years Katy’s wanted those moon chairs but I convinced she was really too big for it and would be kind of disappointed. She then saw a papasan chair and thought she’d like it but they’re too expensive just to go out and buy. That was a couple of months ago and I guess she kind of forgot about it. I hadn’t, though. I didn’t want to bother with having to hide or wrap something that big so I just took my chances and waited. Heath and I went and bought it at Pier One this morning. We had it all set up for her when she got home from school. Her reaction? “Awesome!” She’s quite pleased with it and decided this is her new homework spot.
Katy picked hot dogs for dinner so we had those with french fries and baked beans. After dinner was cake and presents. I messed up and bought a quarter sheet instead of 1/8 so we have way too much cake. And next week is Heath’s birthday!
Katy got lots of nice gifts. She got several books. Auntie Lee sent two books of science experiments and a box of electric motors and magnets to do some experiments. I just hope Katy doesn’t blow the house up or burn it down!
This sweater also has matching gloves. I was disappointed that Crazy 8 was completely out of the striped scarf but maybe we can find a pink scarf.
Overall, I would say Katy had a great day!
